COURSE OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS
Dynamic Positioning Advanced course is intended to build on the DP experience and to provide realistic DP-based simulated exercises including faults, errors and failures.
OBJECTIVE:
Provide the participants with knowledge and practical use of dynamic positioning in order to enable him to:
-operate DP systems in normal and critical or worst case scenario
-execute DP operations including planning, procedures, risk assessment and problem solving in different types of operations and environmental conditions
COURSE CONTENT:
-A study of case histories in respect to vessel incidents and accidents
-Functional setup and controls of a DP system
-DP operations (planning, conduct and execution)
-DP alarms, warnings and emergency procedures
-Operational scenario simulations
