SCOPE:

This course is intended to build on the DP experience and to provide realistic DP-based simulated exercises including faults, errors and failures.

OBJECTIVE:

Provide the participants with knowledge and practical use of dynamic positioning in order to enable him to:

operate DP systems in normal and critical or worst case scenario
execute DP operations including planning, procedures, risk assessment and problem solving in different types of operations and environmental conditions

COURSE CONTENT:

A study of case histories in respect to vessel incidents and accidents
Functional setup and controls of a DP system
DP operations (planning, conduct and execution)
DP alarms, warnings and emergency procedures
Operational scenario simulations
